Maria Sullivan, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Sullivan joined Norwell Veterinary Hospital in 2011. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of New Hampshire in 2003 and then completed her veterinary studies at Tufts University, earning her DVM degree in 2010. Dr. Sullivan then moved to Brooklyn, New York, to complete a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Veterinary Emergency and Referral group.

Dr. Sullivan has known she wanted to be a veterinarian since childhood. She has been working in animal hospitals since she was in high school and was a veterinary technician for several years before attending veterinary school at Tufts. Dr. Sullivan’s professional interests include management of complex chronic issues such as kidney disease, thyroid disease, autoimmune diseases, and diabetes. Dr Sullivan also has a strong interest in emergency and critical care as well as management of chronic pain in animals.

In her spare time, Dr. Sullivan and her husband spend their time chasing around their three young children. Her family also includes their Labrador Luna, their cat Lollipop, and their KC Cavalier Spaniel Bones .
